Black Balance was developed for the intestinal well-being of animals in order to balance the intestinal microbiome as naturally as possible. The product was developed using pine bark and birch chaga extract, which is rich in polyphenols, fulvic and humic acid (lignin sulfonate).
Just like humans, animals are increasingly experiencing problems with intestinal and stomach problems. Both prebiotics and probiotics are important for intestinal function, and Black Balance is a very powerful prebiotic that promotes the vitality of beneficial microbes.
In their natural habitat, animals are supplied with humic and fulvic acids through water and food, but domestic animals only have access to food in which this acid compound is almost completely absent.
The product is being tested by veterinarians of the Equine Clinic of the Latvian University of Life Sciences and Technologies for the prophylaxis and treatment of gastric ulcer syndrome in horses. Preliminary results show significant improvement and even complete healing of squamous and glandular gastric ulcers after a 3-month test period. The use of the product has also shown prophylactic properties, as no new lesions were observed in horses exposed to travel and competition stress during the trial period. In addition, it has been reported that horses become less stressed and more resilient during daily work and competitions. Blood tests performed before and after the use of the product showed no adverse effects, and no clinical side effects have been identified so far.
